We breed and raise Registered Foundation Blackmouth Currs. This breed originated in East Texas and one of the most popular dogs used by day-workers and big-game hunters. Our dogs are all day working dogs, bred to have extreme athletic ability, great desire to please, and extremely gritty.
They have a strong desire to herd cattle and keep any from running off, when penning cattle. They are bred to be very rough on run offs. Blackmouths are quiet on track when running game and have very good noses for trailing and will bay or catch when game is stopped. They are also used as tree dogs
Their temperament is a stay put territorial dog on home ground, very protective of owner and
family, with even temperament. These dogs are very loyal and affectionate towards master and family. Our Currs are normally buckskin, in color, yellow to almost white. Naturally, bobbed tails to medium to long in length. Stud dog in use!
